Cool Outdoor Ideas for Hot Summer Days
Last summer, several bloggers and I collaborated on a free e-book by the National Wildlife Federation full of tips for getting kids (and yourself!) outside in the summer. The award-winning e-book didn’t come out until August, though, so a good portion of summer had already passed by then.
This summer, don’t miss out! Download your free copy of Be Out There: Cool Ideas for Hot Summer Days, no strings attached. You’ll get great ideas for staying cool and enjoying the outdoors during summer.
One of my family’s favorite tactics for getting much-needed outdoor play time, but still staying cool in the southern Florida heat, is to head out early or late in the day and avoid the hottest hours. We also don’t mind playing the cooling rain (unless there’s lightning).
Please check out the e-book and spread the word!
If you’re looking for another idea for outdoors summer fun, plan on doing the Great American Backyard Campout on June 28. Just pitch a tent in your yard or a local park with a campground, and check the National Wildlife Federation site for more tips on how to enjoy summer nights and camping.
