Sneak peek of SeaWorld’s Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin
If you have been following my writing, you know my sons are obsessed with penguins. It began with my oldest son, 6, when he was 3. His little brother wanted to be just like him, so adored penguins too. Now there are about 30 plush penguins we share our home with. So naturally we are beyond excited about SeaWorld’s upcoming attraction Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin.
Our family is eager to see Antarctica because we have made sacrifices. Oh yes, we have foregone seeing the penguin attraction at SeaWorld because it has been closed for about a year or so, and we’ve been unable to visit our favorite place.
Sacrifices. When visiting SeaWorld, we barely managed to limp by the construction wall where the old penguin exhibit used to be.
Happily, SeaWorld is sharing a sneak peek of Antarctica so we can get a taste of what’s to come next spring! Visitors will enter the driest, windiest continent on Earth with what looks like a spectacular new ride in SeaWorld’s biggest expansion yet.
(Note: penguins live throughout the southern hemisphere and not just in Antarctica. Just a little penguin tidbit I’ve learned along the way.)
Check out the Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin site for news and webisodes. Watch the penguins live on a penguin cam, learn about Antarctica and sign up for updates.
