SeaWorld’s Spooktacular has Halloween fun all October

The party is on at SeaWorld Orlando's Halloween Spooktacular every weekend in October

For kids in Florida, the place to be for Halloween has to be SeaWorld, which is bringing back Halloween Spooktacular fun every weekend in October.

We went last year and even though the boys didn’t dress up, they had a great time!

Kids can have fun with or without a costume

Trick-or-treating around the lake at candy stations was popular with kids, and even though we don’t eat the candy because of food allergies, we were happy to see SeaWorld also handed out fruit and fruit snacks we could eat.

But the Halloween Spooktacular is more than trick-or-treating! There were costumed characters, dance parties, bubble machines, fun music and crafts. It’s like Kids Night Out with a fun sea creature twist.

All Spooktacular fun is free with admission

Spooktacular fun includes a dance party with a live DJ, a decorate-your-own treat area and 15 candy stations. You can also meet and take pictures with Penelope Pumpkin fish, Shamu, Pete and Penny Penguin (our favorites!) Dolly Dolphin, Shivers the Polar Bear, a mermaid and other characters who are dressed for the occasion.

(To make a whole night of it, check out the Holiday Family Sleepovers where you can sleep next to the aquariums at Manta. Families with children in grades K-5 and their families can find out more and make reservations at 800-406-2244.)

SeaWorld’s Halloween Spooktacular happens October 6-7, 13-14, 19-21 and 26-28 from noon 8 pm.
