Kidfresh meals are healthy, easy and tasty

Kidfresh frozen meals are made without artificial ingredients and include sneaky veggies

I don’t blog about a lot of food products because many of them just don’t pass muster in my family. Food is a tough subject in our home because my preschooler has several food allergies and intolerances. However, the silver lining has been that my whole family has learned to eat more healthy. (And we thought we were eating healthy before!) So I have to give two thumbs up to Kidfresh frozen meals, which are made without artificial ingredients and which sneak in vegetables.

Many prepared foods are made with artificial ingredients, petroleum-based preservatives or chemical additives like monosodium glutamate (which sometimes is hidden in the ingredients list as “yeast extract,” “autolyzed yeast,” “hydrolized yeast” or simply “natural flavor.”) Kidfresh tells you exactly what is in its meals, and it doesn’t include these. (At least the meals we sampled didn’t.) This is important to me, an avid label reader.

My kids already love their veggies, but finding quick, easy-to-prepare meals that kids want to eat can be a challenge! I know there are kids who turn away from anything colorful on their plates. My toddler sampled the Kidfresh Wagon Wheels Mac + Cheese and the Muy Cheesy Quesadillas, which both have carrots added for more nutrition and flavor. I tried them too — they are tasty! My preschooler could eat the Rainbow Rice + Chicken, but it wasn’t available at my local Publix, which I’m happy to say now carries the Kidfresh line.

My toddler didn't know there are carrots in his mac 'n' cheese (but he loves carrots anyway)

Find a store that carries Kidfresh meals, and try them for yourself! Kidfresh has offered me six coupons to give away (three winners will get two coupons) so your kids can try them out for FREE! Congrats to Jessica, Finondra and Sonia on winning! For a chance to win, please leave a comment about how you get your family to eat more healthy. For an extra entry, comment that you liked the Kidfresh Facebook page and mention you heard about Kidfresh at Tropic of Mom.

Made-from-scratch meals are best, but when you need something easy to prepare that’s still healthy, definitely check out Kidfresh.

I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Kidfresh and received Kidfresh coupons and products to facilitate my review, coupons to giveaway, and a promotional item to thank me for taking the time to participate.

  1. I love to try giving my family the best food the can eat, but most of the time they can’t know what did I use to make their food :)
I will love to try this !!!
    thanks for the opportunity!

  2. I am always trying out new and healthy recipes…lots of times sneaking in pureed veggies. I don’t buy alot of “unhealthy” options so they have to eat healthy:)
I “liked” Kidfresh on FB and got the coupon. I look forward to having the kids try their foods:)

  3. Jessica Stiesi says:

I am not the best at making sure we eat healthy. :( I try and make sure Dominic always has vegetables with dinner. These meals would really be great to help me with that!

I also liked them on facebook and mentioned Tropic of Mom. :)

  4. Great, Sonia, Finondra and Jessica! You win the coupons. Now you can try out the delicious and healthy Kidfresh varieties.
