Lolliposh consignment event a win-win

Lolliposh shoppers find great bargains -- and make money selling gently used baby and children's items

Twice a year, all my local mom friends get excited when Lolliposh time rolls around. Lolliposh is a South Florida consignment event where you can sell your gently used baby and children’s items, and/or shop for great deals. It’s the perfect way to make some money on things your children don’t need anymore without having the hassle of a garage sale. It’s also a super way to score some great gear or threads for your kids at bargain prices (70-90% off!).

Lolliposh isn’t a place where any old junk gets set out and the people running the show don’t care. No way! Lolliposh has been around for four years, and the event organizers really know what they’re doing. When my two-year-old was about six months and ready to go into his own bedroom (although we still co-slept a good bit of the time), I shopped at Lolliposh for a baby monitor. Even though it was closing time, the Lolliposh folks helped me find an electrical outlet to check that the monitor worked properly. I still use the monitor in my boy’s room — it works great! I have also found beautiful clothing there by Gymboree, Polo Ralph Lauren and other high-end brands.

Check out the Lolliposh event Sept. 16-17 at the Plantation JCC and follow the signs. There is a presale on Sept. 15 for registered volunteers, consignors, and new and expectant moms. Pull your items, or your wish list, together now and register at As a consigner, you can make up to 75% of your sales and get a check in five to ten days. If your items don’t sell, you can choose to donate them if you like. Lolliposh will benefit the Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition of Broward County.

It’s a win-win for everyone!

Lolliposh offered me a gift certificate and presale passes for this post. Opinions, thoughts and silliness are my own.
